Oooh, this is nice. I like it very much. The calluses, and catching the mug, and cool, competent Ford, and Sora testing her limits. I really like how you've illustrated the connection she and Teyla had, and how impotently angry Sora is, yelling at Teyla from her cell.
I thought Sora and Teyla's relationship was great-- I think SGA could do *better* as far as its female characters getting the chance to relate to each other in interesting ways, but they've been doing all right so far, and I absolutely *loved* the way Teyla never gave up on Sora.
I enjoyed this a great deal. I enjoy your Sora a great deal. And I like how there was no easy ending in this story. (i.e. Sora doesn't give up her beliefs, and the Atlantis crew don't let an enemy go.) Thanks.
Yeah, the Stargate universe in general is pretty good at not always tying everything up with a bow. *G* I'm glad you liked the story-- thanks for the comment! :)
Oh, lovely. Excellent view of Sora and of everyone from her perspective. For the Genii in general, but especially for Sora, it must be so freaky to have to deal with Atlantis, with people that are technologically advanced, that are *better*, and for Sora, to be with strangers, foreigners, who treat her like a dangerous soldier. To be stripped down to the essence with them, without either the comfort of her disguise or of the structure and support of the Genii.
That last bit, though... because Sora understands and can accept what John did, ("Defending his home and his people, as we would.") doesn't mean that he's not *terrifying*.
Gorgeous. You do have a habit of doing yourself proud when you pinch-hit.
(Guilty confession: that list bit made me suddenly crave Shepperd/Martine Blank from Grosse Pointe Blank.)

YEE HEE. Dude, now I want that, *bad*. Or maybe an AU where John's a hit man and Rodney's his snarky secretary/support staff person, like Joan Cusack was in the movie. Yum.
