Tuesday we took the train to MUMI, the mining museum. Me and Eric walked around looking at stuff because everybody else just wanted to sit and have staring contests. Yesterday we had a presentation of the education system in Asturias. It is way more complicated than in the U.S. We had presentations of the school rules and of like a typical day in students´ lives. On Friday, we went to Oviedo by train. It is a nearby city, the capital of the province. A few other kids came along that arent hosting but are coming to Buffalo..Alberto and this girl Cristina. Today was a bit better. My girl thinks that I do not like her because I don't speak but I can't. I try so hard and I feel so bad! She bought a magazine and we tried to talk about it and it helped. In her school I went to her Spanish class and I was so lost but I had to read a poem out loud in spanish and jojo said my accent was way better than hers ( Read more... ) -

Todayyy we had more drama and stuff haha it's ridiculous. Tomorrow we have a long bus ride to gijon to sleep on haha but were stopping somewhere for like 2 hours. We meet our families tomorrow and I'm nervous. A bunch of people in our group lost their privileges and stuff and almost got sent home cuz they missed curfew. ere were photos of the process of him painting it. On the way here the teachers walked wayyy ahead of us and we almost got lost. Those douchebags. I really like Madrid.

First day in Madrid
My anxiety is so weird right now. I feel anxious but I really don't have anything to worry about here or back home. I think it's just like overwhelming. We went to el prado today. We saw descent from the cross, las meninas, and garden of earthly delights plus more. Ms redondos daughter is the cutesy ever. Makes me want to have a baby even more. ( Read more... ) -
