I was looking for people from iran to talk to, since i have a fascination with that country. Actually, I am fascinated by the middle east. Have you read Thousand Splendid Suns? What a beautiful book! Have you read Prisoner of Tehran? I am suggesting it for a book discussion group my friend wants to start. But, I will be going back to school in two weeks, and I probably won't have time for a book discussion group. I teach school, and I am in graduate school part time. I am Christian, so I also am interested in Iran as it is referred to in the Bible, concerning Ahaseurus (Xerxes), and Darius, and, I believe, Cyrus. I will look for Children of Heaven.

Hi. There are a couple of other Iranian girls on LJ. Do you know them? By the way, I've not read either of the books. Thousand Splendid Suns sounds interesting. I might try it some time later. (I still have a bunch of unfinished books)
If you are interested in Iran then you might really enjoy Children of Heaven.

Funny enough - I just watched this movie before reading your post... I'd say it's more than just "touching and simple movie"... It's simply a great movie!..

And yes I have seen many movies (including Hollywood movies) and this movie is still one of my top favorites.
