I am still a mouth breather but its getting better. I managed to run errands today, which is good. Tomorrow and Sunday are uber-busy days as I prepare for phase 2 of my super secret plan which will commence early Monday morning (Anna, call me or stop by after work tomorrow so we can chat/play with toys from the Buy More). the only thing i know about cantor is from what my parents have been able to tell me... my mom isn't really talking much, though i'm sure she knows much more (shes on the board after all).
but basically, the synagogue chose to not renew her contract. so it isnt that they're "firing her" per se, but theyre not chosing to continue employing her. officially shes done now, but as part of the severance package, the shul will continue to pay her on "sabbatical" i think for another 6 mo-1 year. thats pretty much all i know. things have not been good between cantor and the shul for a while now, so i think theyve been talking about asking her to leave for a few years. also... i dont know if your mom knew this, but cantor and doug got divorced about a year and a half ago i think.
