I have watched so much tv, seen so many movies, and read so many books that it is REALLY hard for somebody to surprise me. In fact even the stuff I like I can generally tell where it is going and I just watch/read it anyway because I'm entertained by the portrayals/acting/sets/language. So take it as a big compliment that you totally surprised me more than once in this story.The crow being Nicci? Had no clue. The old guy being more of a masochist (although for magical reasons) than a sadist? Didn't see it coming. And I've speculated a lot on what Dahlia may become in the AU set up in the show the idea that in the end she might have become a sort of dominatrix for hire instead of for duty to Rahl never crossed my mind, Bravo. And keep writing.
