Glad to see you are continuing with this story/verse.

All-around awesome fic - I was pleased that B.A.D. was much more than just a generic evil dude. And then the end with DRahl...and Nicci plotting her twisted machinations - delicious. Also, it didn't hurt that Cara was her bad-ass self.

Thanks much! Glad you enjoyed the Baron stuff. And I'm hoping Nicci and DR won't come off badly - inept, maybe, but always evilsexy.

Wow, this was just.. amazing. This series just keeps getting better and better. I love this 'post Zedd's fuck up' world you've created. But, what I really love, is your characterization of Dahlia. It would be really easy to create a character that's 'less than' Cara. While Dahlia isn't one of the big pieces on the chess board, here, she's an important piece in regards to Cara. And, though not a Mord'Sith, comes across in everything as Cara's equal.

I also love the twist with Danton. I had that whole gut-twisting 'she's really not gonna go *there* is she?' feeling and, nope, you didn't. It was totally better and completely unexpected. As was the teaser at the end with Darken Rahl and Nicci.

It's a pleasure writing a relationship where one partner isn't going "OMG! Ur so cool and stuff. Now SAVE ME!" I hate those couples in fiction and life. Also, I don't think I *can* go there (if your there and my there are the same there). I'm too squeamish.

Thanks very much for reading - happy to know you enjoyed it. :)

Absolutely breathtaking. I was genuinely surprised by the twist with the Baron and Cara, and the epilogue filled me with thrilling dread.

And man, do I love your Cara/Dahla. As always, your language is poetry, and I'm amazed.

Thanks! Very pleased to know you liked it. This show is dead and gone, so it's safe to totally mess it up with mushy, sloppy lurve fic, right? :)

If I were to quote all my favorite parts, the entirety of your story would be repeated here! Indulge me as I quote a few delicious nuggets that I especially enjoyed:

They became lovers a fortnight ago, and discovered soon after that their union had somehow affected the very nature of time. When they part, the sun loiters in the sky for three-quarters of the day, and drowsy sands clog the hourglass. When they come together, candles burn faster, and the moon dashes away like it owes Cara money. This was a beautiful description of that temporal anomaly known as falling in love!

Peace is not as wretched as she had feared. That is so TOTALLY Cara.

Dahlia cannot hide her elation. She does not feign coolness and would not hazard such behavior with Cara, whose delicate sweetness can melt away faster than spring snow. Gestures like this are gambles even for seasoned romantics; for Cara, who essentially remains a raw nerve bound in scar tissue and leather, the risk of rejection or derision requires bravery Dahlia can barely comprehend. Aww, thanks. :) That's very thoughtful, picking up on the parallel course D took here. I don't know how much of it it evolved consciously, but I'm glad it works for you as a reader.

BTW, I, also, am anti-robe for Cara. But people do strange things for love, yes?
