I know it's early to really care about names, but it's never too early. I know I'd be the head behind making the actual decision, but it's nice to see what the peers think. Which name do you think would stand out or sound more appealing when it comes to choosing an acting stage name. I was considering using my actual name and not something showy ( Read more... )

hahaha yah I was thinking how cool it would be to have initials for the names instead. Hopefully nobody will think they're funny and ruin it by callin me JC Penny though.

I'm torn between Joshua Johnson and Josh Collins and I don't know why, so I voted for the latter. :-)

I think Collins has a very nice plesant ring to it. And you hardly ever hear the last name at least more than you do 'Johnson'

I can definitely hear trailer artists saying "Joshua Johnson." It's classy but also normal. None of this "Courtney Love" type business. For the record I have no idea if she changed her name legally or if that's what her parents named her, but let me just say -- I HATE that pun.

Also it gives you the option of being referred to as "Josh Johnson," which sounds very cute and personable. You could be "Joshua Johnson" on movie posters but "Josh Johnson" to your adoring public, know what I mean? : )

I think I see what you're saying. Use 'both' but on like posters I'd be called 'Joshua' but everyone would call me Josh. I'm tryin to think of examples of already established stars, I guess Michael J. Fox would always be called 'Mike' by his adoring public heh heh

But maybe I'd use Joshua as the professional name that posters and talk show hosts would have to call me 'only my friends call me Josh. Can I call you Josh? Are you my friend? Well...no.. then you know the answer to your question don't you?" I was thinkin Joshua to be different as there are too many established Joshes. Hartnet, Lucas, Hutcherson, and a bunch more that nobody else would know haha.

Joshua Johnson nice little flow

I'll think about it still, but thanks for the responses!

Caleb Collins is quite nice also, to be honest. It makes me feel like you should be from Scotland, though. And to be honest, I couldn't vote for "Collins" because I have it too closely associated with Phil Collins. Hee.
