I saw the Harry Potter finale last week...(may contain spoilers)

Hello everybody,  I feel like I've been sequestered forever, but I love it when I complete a project in a wonderful way and I can come up for air.  Like catching up and going to see movies.

So.  Because I thought the first part of Deathly Hallows was brilliant, nothing less, I ran to check out the finale and was knocked out.  I was so impressed, I ( Read more... )

You are amongst several online friends who have said how good the final part is! I am looking forward to seeing it (must organise that! LOL!)

Oh - and you must read the books if you can. They give a lot more depth to the films and are well worth it.

Yes...I think I will. I was hesitating before, but now that I see where she was going, I will be interested to read all the details.

I think Alan Rickman deserves an Oscar nod, not only for this film but how he intgrated a ten year cycle. Amazing and wonderful. Yeah, I suggest checking out the film at a time where you can relax afterward and take it all in.

So nice to hear from you.

Hubby and I just got back from seeing the last Harry Potter a little while ago. Very good. I thought the way Snape was talking that he was going to say he was really Harry's father. But no, he just loved Harry's mum. :)

It was very good, and liked the end where the there's a whole new generation of the character's kids now on their way to Hogwarts.

Rowling really, really hit it big with these books. A whole generation having grown up on them.

Have to admit, too, that I didn't read them, nor did my daughter. For some reason, (think b'cuz everyone else was reading them) daughter wanted to be obstinate about it (although she's read all the Sookie Stackhouse books -lol) back when she was a lot younger. I do appreciate that the books garnered as much attention (midnight sell outs) as the movies did, and that's great for the kids reading them.

And to you - hi there! Haven't seen you in ages!

Wasn't it wonderful? It was so refreshing to be entertained by such a well thought out and beloved plot. Rowlings, really, really deleivered the story. A few days before I saw the film, I was musing: 'Wouldn't it be cool if Snape was in love with Lili? Cuz, that's what I would do.'

I was so incredibly pleased. I am a firm believer that love lasts, it is an understanding of a thread of love inside the greater love that animates all human beings and so how could such a thing 'move on' or fade away. (?)

So nice to hear from you, yeah I just finished up my big 144,000 word project. Took me about a year and I was immersed in that world for awhile. I'm not sure why I do that. But I'm sending out to publishers and agents and doing the whole thing. I am very pleased with the project. Thanks for stopping by to say hello.

Very nicely and poetically said!

Congrats on your writing project. I sincerely wish you luck on that. Please keep us posted.
