The Sketchbook Project 2012

Apr 30, 2012 17:23

This is the first time I've ever participated in the Sketchbook Project-- thanks so much to The Arthouse Co-op for sending me a journal-- that was a delightful surprise! (maybe I should get on twitter more often-- hmm?)

About the art-- this sketchbook was very much an experiment for me. When I signed up, I knew I wanted to do something about flight ( Read more... )

Ooooh, so pretty! I would tell you which ones I like best, but each has its own charm!

Thanks so much!! This was a lot of fun to do-- I think I'll do it again (not necessarily on the official site, but... just 'cause. :o)

Awesome!
I signed up and did exactly 0 sketches in the book! I lost it almost immediately after it arrived. I am so glad you did it! : )

That was exactly my problem-- I thought they hadn't sent it-- and then, while excavating kid-mess... lo and behold! Maybe next year for you??!

I love this! I did a sketchbook too, although I only had time to fill about half of it since we ended up moving. (I actually dropped it in the mailbox as we left Florida forever, postmarked one day late!) I also looked at the books last year when they came to Florida. That was a lot of fun although we kept getting pretty bad ones...they don't let you browse, you just have to throw out a theme or locale (or artist if you know of any) and they'll hand you something random. Yours is a lovely one!

Aww-- I'd love to see what you did-- I guess that's the downside of having to give it away. I kind of wonder about the lack of browsing-- what a shame! I think I would want to just comb shelves. :o) Of course, they won't be anywhere near us... still...

Mine is digitized, I just have to dig it up...I've been too busy to think about it. -_- And the tour isn't coming near me either, I can't believe it goes to Orlando and not Baltimore or DC! >_

Seriously!! Shame on them. We're used to no Pittsburgh. *sigh* Would love to see the pics if you find them!

Thanks, Melodye! The story didn't come to me until the day I mailed it, so... it needs some work... still. Very fun project!
