We have heard back from the vet regarding the cost of amputating Milo's hing leg. The cost of the surgery is $600 (which was better than I expected); however, the vet wants a biopsy and a second opinion. This will push the cost over $1000. We would have to save for several weeks to come up with that kind of money. The problem is that the vet said

Oh Sweetie, I am so sorry! But a positive outlook and good energy can do wonders for the outcome. I will send the poor kitty some good thoughts and keep him in my prayers. It will all work out in the end.
