Just want to let everyone know I am surviving the new job. I have had very little time to do anything independently, so I am sneaking a few minutes to post. I think I will like it here very much, but it is always frustrating to get used to a new job. Well, I have three more days left at this job, counting today. I have mixed feelings about this. It has been difficult to say goodbye to some of these folks. I got a call from UC today. The person who was offered the job in the cancer center declined. I interviewed with HR today and they offered the job to me. It is nearly $10,000 more a year, more vacation time, all of my continuing education is paid, and they have discounted daycare with Kindercare (for future baby Andersons). Happy Valentine's Day! I love y'all!

I just got the call from UC. I did not get the job. They picked someone with more experience. I have been trying not to get my hopes up, but I am pretty disappointed. But, I always say everything happens for a reason, so we'll see what the reason was for this eventually.

My interview went well. I met with the director of the cancer center. He thought that a decision should be made by the end of the week! It is between me and two other people. Everybody keep your fingers crossed.
