hey my peoplez. i think o'brien wrote this book so that he can express his ideas about vietnam. not a lot of people know about the war and don't have an interest in it. maybe he wanted to educate peoplez. i think he also wanted to share some stories about the war. even though it says it's a work of fiction there may be some truth to it. each story ( Read more... )

i think that it's great that you backed up your opinions efficiently with quotes. They bring out your point exactly and i think that its great that you used them. And also i agree with you about how it can get confusing sometimes with some of the things he is talking about in the book. like weapons and stuff! i have no idea if they are talking about guns, planes, sushi, whatever! I think that he maybe could've made it a little easier for people like you and me to understand! but anyways great job on using those quotes! :-)

i completley agree with you. well actually...to be exact...i don't really agree with myself because i have no clue what else to say but the exact same thing you did. this was a really confusing prompt...but i'm thinking along the same lines as you are.
