India_Writing: Quick Tales Contest Update

The Quick Tales Flash-Fiction Contest submissions wrapped up this past week. We want to thank all of you for the great response to the contest. We’ve received a total of 1052 valid entries :)

As we speak, the Caferati editors are busily sifting through the entries to give us a short-list; after which the jury steps in to rate the short-

Tentatively we are expecting to publish the shortlist by end of first week October, and the final results in another week or so..Do keep watching lj_india, we'll update here soonest we have the list from the judges!

Another couple of days, and we should have the short-list.
We'll have the stories up on the india_writing community, and an update here as well.

Its been quite a while...

Ya I can understand it takes hell of a task to read all 1000 odd entries...

I wish to give a suggestion that you guys announce a deadline (a date for results) so that writers know when to log in please.

Well, it has been good...those 500 words of story, actually without a deadline no one can write a good story...so you guys also keep an 'announcement deadline'
