In January 2002 -- five years ago! -- asciident was appointed maintainer of this community. Today, she's let us know that she's resigning from maintaining this community. I'd like to thank her for all her hard work in maintaining this community and keeping everything running smoothly. Thank you, Melissa

While I'm not a coding geek by any means, I do have 4 years of customer service experience and currently moderate a reasonably active mailing list within the furry fandom (and have for... eesh 4 years now). I also have about 6 months experience as a LiveJournal Support volunteer and have come to understand the way LiveJournal's systems work and can keep on top of know issues and change setting in the community to accommodate them as needed.

why is your commercial community icon pulsating? do these pulsate now? i'm not sure that makes me feel good. why do such things have to pulsate just because lj wishes to feature them? commercial pulsating needs a punch in the face. may as well write with neon. yuck.

That's a fake LJ user tag. The image is hosted off of LJ somewhere. If you go to the community, it shows the real icon on the nav strip.

LJ didn't do that to the community tag, I did. (My community is not commercial.) Fake LJ tags are one of the things I do - see here for some examples.

I'll admit I've never maintained a Livejournal community before but thanks to my job, I'm usually online 10+ hours a day with time to kill during ( media specialist for post secondary institution. Whoopie! )
