that's excellent, but let me remind you that livejournal already supported HTTPS in the past for many years.
HTTPS vanished after moving server infrastructure from California to Russia.

In the address bar on my friends page, I saw two icons that had an X on them. One was telling me that plugins were blocked and the other was telling me that the page was trying to load scripts from unauthenticated sources. Not sure if those are a LJ server issue or a Chrome issue.
