I would guess at over-watering it. If it worked on the other tree though...that's odd. I could have an illness of some sort too.

Ok... so if I just assume I've been over watering it, what do I do to correct the problem?

Couple guesses on this one... Could be getting too much sunlight, since days are getting longer. Could be getting a draft, and too hot/cold where it's at. Might want to check about any air conditioning/heating near it, too. And might be over/under watering it. I haven't had a Chinese elm yet, but most of my plants tend to get more droopy if they're being *over* watered, rather then turning yellowish.

Would a fungicide harm it in anyway if it hasn't got a fungus?

It looks like I may have to take it back to the shop and see what they can do. Unfortunately the place I got him from is closing down pretty soon, so they don't really have many bonsai left.

I'd much rather stick with a Chinese Elm at the moment as they are, as I've been told, are the easiest to look after o_O'
