How do you link a livejournal or community with the little user or community symbol in front of it?

i was wondering if anyone knew how to make all of your past entries friends only. as the last post in here was 2004, i don't know that anyone will see this. but i'm hoping someone can help me.

does anyone have a code to make those text box things to post codes in? i made some colorbars and i have no way to post the codes and alot of people are asking for them. i looked everywhere for a code but couldnt find one. if someone has a code for text boxes then that would be appreciated :D
