Bigmouth update

Jan 24, 2006 09:08

Sadly, we haven't seen or heard from Bigmouth (the elderly abandoned cat which we had been caring for) since Friday evening. I've told my small son that I believe she's found safe place out of the cold and windy nights with a family nearby. However, deep down and unexpressed, is the thought that the cuddly, fuzzy kitty with the loud miaow has ( Read more... )

Yeah, I'll bet you do miss her. She was around for quite a while. Who knows? Maybe she's in heat and "catting" around. That's the thing with cats that stay outside though. They all too often wander off and no one ever knows what happens to them. It's just their nature.

We've had a stray dog adopt us the past week. I didn't really want to encourage her to stay by feeding her, but I couldn't watch her starve either. She took a bunch of our shoes that were on the porch and we found a couple in the woods but I don't know where the rest went. So I had to run out and buy more sneakers for Jack. I haven't seen her today, so maybe she got her tummy filled and went home.

That would be amusing if Bigmouth came back "in the family way". Your son would like that. LOL

Ack, no! That would be very, very bad! *lol* We already had one pregnancy scare with the rats, and once is enough for this lifetime!

I don't know if that's the cause, though, only because of Bigmouth's age, but seeing as I know next to nothing about the sex life of cats, anything's possible!

*hugs lots*

Hee, nope! I thought I posted on this a while back, but I can't find it. Anyway, turns out Shadow is a girl, which is why Swampy had to get "neutralized" a few months back. o.O Silly pet store assured us they were both male. *lol*

It might really have found someone else. *nods* My cousin's family had a stray cat adopt them and they ended up taking him in and getting his shots and all. After they'd had him for months, they were out in the yard and all of the sudden the neighbor called the cat by a different name and he went running to them. My cousin's daughter cried her head off, then the neighbor's brought him back and said they were just checking to see if it really was their old cat like they thought, but they didn't want him anymore, my cousin could keep him, heh.
