Did my every-two-years-or-whenever-it's-long-enough haircut for Locks of Love today. Thirteen inches of hair, gone in one fell swoop (or is it "swell foop"; I can never remember). Now it's back to growing it out again for the next big snip. :) -
Testing the new "location" feature
I think I have this correct now. Drop by my recent entries page and check out the metadata box on the bottom. Kinda nifty, although I'd probably never enter in my real location ... O.o *random thought* I could always change the "I'm locating" text to "Next vacation spot" or something ... *plays around with journal* -
Weekends were made for this!
Just got back from a party for one of my son's chums. It was held at a wonderful playground nearby, with mud and a water slide made from old tires and garbage bags (hee) and lots of handcrafted wooden buildings to hide in and play water gun fights in and not a soft comfy rounded rubber edge in sight! My Mom has recently gotten very into Nascar Racing. She'll be going to one of the local races at the California Speedway in September with my hubby. Which has us giggling because how many people, I wonder, will think he's her "escort" or that she's his sugar mama ... O.o

Bigmouth, again
Bigmouth, who had been missing since Friday, suddenly reappeared in my downstairs neighbour's backyard yesterday! Which is good, except for the fact that she's injured her leg somehow (Bigmouth, not my neighbour) and can no longer climb the stairs to the landing where we had been setting out her food ( Read more... ) -
Bigmouth update
Sadly, we haven't seen or heard from Bigmouth (the elderly abandoned cat which we had been caring for) since Friday evening. I've told my small son that I believe she's found safe place out of the cold and windy nights with a family nearby.
