My Mom has recently gotten very into Nascar Racing. She'll be going to one of the local races at the California Speedway in September with my hubby. Which has us giggling because how many people, I wonder, will think he's her "escort" or that she's his sugar mama ... O.o

hehe... my Mom used to go to watch the football (soccer) games, in a time when only men used to go... and she yelled a lot at the other team some "nice" words... it was funny to see people around staring at her...

*and pets cuz the 1 disk fever is spreading*

Hee. Your Mom and my Mom sound like they could have been chums. :) I'm sure when she gets to the race, my Mom will be just as loud and probably just as "nice" in her support of her favourite driver(s)... *lol*

Yep. I had some difficulties figuring out how to cut back on food for the one whilst not starving the other (we have two). In the end, I just went with a brand of food that has a lower fat content and cut back on the treats. I don't think Swampy will ever be as thin and sleek and his cage-mate, Shadow, but an obese rat is an unhealthy rat. :)

And I wish I could say it was for financial reasons that I picked up the wrong DVD, but nope; it was just Rhi being dense! *lol*

OMG. My hubby has gotten into Nascar racing - online. Oy. Road Atlanta is 30 minutes from here but he's only gone with the Boy Scouts so far. So your mom's a California redneck, eh? LOL Next thing you know she'll have a statue of Dale Earnhardt in her yard.

Glad Bigmouth is doing well. You could introduce her to Swampy. That could scare some ounces off. Heh.

O.o I'm not sure if Swampy would survive the initial shock, being somewhat of a sheltered rat and not that knowledgeable of the great, big world and all the other (carnivorous) creatures in it.

(I remember when we first got the ratties, my hubby thought it would be great fun to play with them outside ... on the lawn ... where the dogs poop and the association sprays for mosquitoes and where the neighbouring cats and the occasional coyote wander. Needless to say, he had second thoughts ...) *lol*
