Vote for the group you like better!
A)This place is on its own island that overlooks the Long Island Sound. Great water views everywhere.

The second one looks nice, but I can't see pictures of the first to compare! The page just keeps saying it's transferring data without going anywhere

Wow, they both look great! I can see why this is a tough choice!! I think you could pick either one and take people's breath away. Trying not to sound too pragmatic, but commute time for NYC dwellers would probably be a factor to consider too.

they're actually both fairly close to NYC. Within two hours driving! :) But hopefully, we can make it a weekend affair so no one has to rush in and out and EVERYONE can drinkkkkk and then roll back to the hotel on the shuttle bus. :P

I always vote for water over woods, so I pick #1.

I agree with you in general. I insisted on having a beach wedding at first. But then realized too much can go wrong with that. :) where did you have yours?

We had ours in Lyme at Dowd's Country Inn. About the only water we had was a pond. (And rain.)

Seconded. Both are lovely, though!

Wow. It's a hard choice. As far as ease, anyone not coming from the city will probably have an easier time getting to the catskills and a hard time getting to Long Island. I do know Nick loves the beach though. What time of year/when is this happening?

Well, even though the first one is on the Long Island sound, it's actually in Westchester! In New Rochelle, to be exact.

awww, i value your opinion as always. in terms of catskills, we'd hae a sept or early oct wedding, so hopefully the weather will be beautiful....:)

The outdoor areas in the Catskills look like a great place for people to gather and chat. But then you should plan for earlier rather than later -- it gets cold earlier out there in the hills.

Haha. I am so solidly in favor of woods...
