The Hobbit - Desolation of Smaug

I've seen it - once - and actually that's enough.

To see what I really think (and several others who don't all necessarily agree with my view) take a trip to grey_wonderer's journal. There's a lively debate going on!

Oh sorry, GW will friend you back if you ask. I'd post my review here but there's so much more there and I refer to stuff others have mentioned.

Have you seen it?
What did/do/will you think?

Ah no prob sweety, I was just curious.

I won't be able to make it to the cinema for some time (it's hard to find a good baby/kid-sitter when you have a special needs child), so I probably will see it on DVD. Hubby and I did agree that when the third one comes out, we'll do a good ol' movie marathon at the cinema ^- ^

Once was enough for me, as well. Although I do love Bilbo. :)

I'm trying to get back into LJ and thought I'd swing by the various accounts of fannish friends to see what's up. I hope you are well.

Re: the Hobbit films (so I can at least nominally respond to the actual content of this post) I think I saw the first Hobbit movie three times, which may be surprising, but the first two times were in the theater with friends and the third time was the extended version on DVD - which did not make me like it more, unfortunately. My chief memory is that it left me more irritated with the Dwarves due to scenes with them being rude in Imladris, but I don't really have any specifics beyond that.

The second two movies I saw once each in the theater. I own all of them in their extended forms on DVD. At some point I'll do a run through so I will finally have seen the extended versions of #2 and #3, but as you can probably tell, I wasn't really a fan.
