Well I did it.. I just got back from getting my tattoo done! I was prepared for pain.. and psyched myself up... but honestly.. it was nothing

What an awesome tat, girl! Has it started to hurt more at all since you got it? Like, does it get itchier or anything after you've had it for a few days? I'd love to get a tattoo of a panda on my upper right back between my neck and my shoulders, but I'm such a wimp ;_;
That's a pretty painful spot! The closer to bone your skin is, the more it's going to hurt.
Her tattoo is probably going to be sore for the rest of today, and start scabbing over tomorrow. By day 3, it's going to itch like hell when the hair starts growing back (unless she waxed of course!).
I come from a family of tattoo addicts, so even though I don't have one, I know lots of random stuff about them! *L*
I think anywhere I get a tattoo is gonna be a painful spot =( I really am such a wimp! But I think I have enough *ahem* "padding" to cushion the area -_-;;
Actually if you get it on a fleshy part of your body (like me.. my outer thigh.. MUCH padding too.. lol)... it won't hurt.. I swear.. my tatt didn't hurt.. it was a little burny/scratchy but that was it. And as soon as he stops using the needle... the burn goes away and it feels fine again.
Near the bone will hurt more.. that's why I got this one first.. had no problems.. and later I'll get one on my lower back near my butt.. which even my guy said wouldn't hurt that much.. if it's right above my butt.. cause it's fleshy there too.
Make sure you follow his care directions exactly! A friend of mine got a tattoo a few weeks ago, and the guy forgot to tell her at first that she was only to use lotion on it. She put antibacterial cream on it (like she did with her last tattoo) and the oil started to pull the ink out! The tattoo guy was using a new ink this time, and forgot about it.
Thanks tara.. yah.. he gave me a list of directions and some ointment to use for the first 2 days. (I also have some professional Tattoo Goo that a friend of mine in the USA mailed to me (his brother is a professional tattoo artist). I also bought Ivory soap and Lubriderm unscented moisturizer as recommended.
The best thing is it's guaranteed for life. so if it fades or the ink comes out a bit, he'll fix it for free. The guy was so awesome.

Thanks Erin... You know what.. I thought I was brave.. I worked myself all up to be ready for big pain.. but it was NOTHING! I swear.. it didn't hurt a bit.. a little burny annoying.. but that was it. It's no big deal at all!!
