The wall is built. The rubble is gone. The patio has been repaired. The lane door has been replaced, and they've even left a gap for hedgehogs at the bottom like I asked. Folks, I think the builders might actually be finished! Now all I have to do is replant half the garden, but that'll be a job for the end of next week, when I have a few days

Yay! for the hedgehog highway! My next immediate thought was: 'wonder if Molly will be able to use the gap too, as a shortcut to the sanctuary of your garden?' ;))

Molly couldn't fit through the hedgehog highway, but just to the left of the picture, there is a fairly low wall with a bench on the other side of it, and that is her access point from her garden into mine.
