Ok my ultimate favorite phrase in this election season: Obama bin Biden. Really? Those scare tactics actually work? I guess they do since people (I know a few!) actually still have a problem with Obama being a secret muslim.

So.....I'm done with school. Everyone is talking about their first day and all, and it's over for me :(. I'm terribly bored though. I've got no job to keep me busy. Christian's leaving next week and not coming back to the country for, like, a year. No, seriously. It was. Hail the size of golf balls and a tornado apparently touched down. the capital has been boarded up because the glass has been blown out of it! Christian's roommate's room had to be boarded shut b/c his windows are pretty much gone and they didn't want the dog and cat to be able to get in with all of the glass on the floor. ( Read more... )

So I finished my presentation/ research for my major. Meaning I'm done with pretty much EVERYTHING! I have two finals (one's a paper) but I'm not terribly worried about them all. It's weird. I wish we lived in an aristocracy, with me as an aristocrat. I've come to the conclusion that I want to do nothing more with my life except read really good books, write poetry, draw, and think really deep thoughts for a living.

I just found out I missed Frank Warren (the guy who does Postsecret) at an SXSW event.

So, my roommates' trip to South Padre. Lots of binge drinking and bad ideas that looked good at the time, and an apartment to myself for a week. Anyone know what a lumper potato is? I'm in this Modern Irish history class and apparently that was the big potato before the Irish Famine.
