I'm just full out stressed out now. My thesis defense is next tuesday and well, I'm starting to worry that my thesis isn't good enough. But I'm sure he would tell me ( he being my supervisor)..ARGH so stressed....so close to the end. :S

Well, 6 years of University education almost done. Another 3 to go. I have been thinking alot about what the hell I'm going to do with all of this though. I don't know if getting a PhD will really benefit me. Or maybe more learning will help? I don't know. This master's degree has been essentially like a PhD. I took 12 courses. i realize too much goes on yet not much does. I never write about my life because Im in denial most days that it even happens. I only have a short while left in Calgary (about 54 days). In that time I must defend my thesis, pack, apply for SSRCH money and register at UBirmingham. Fingers crossed this will work out as planned. So much has changed, ( Read more... )

start work soon. got a website up and going. I sort of want to be a work at home composer for a while, but that doesn't really bring in any income now DOES IT. blech. Real like blows ass sometimes.

Thankfully going up to Banff today to visit with an old composition professor and hopefully go to the hotsprings!

I can't take it anymore. I swear writing this thesis has made me feel like a prisoner in my own head. It's so frustrating and agonizing to the point where i just want to go off myself. Its lonely. Very lonely. And I don't know if it's worth the one meeting every 2 weeks where my supervisor makes me feel like a human being again ( Read more... )
