pls to 'splain magic to the vulcan, hailing all escape routes, needs more bling, this place is illogical, magic is illogical, is emony logical?, bones is illogical, thank vulcan nyota is logical, buffy...has peculiar logic, srs work bzns, kirk is illogical, for science!

There seems to be a lot of variance in the whole concept, depending on which world people come from.

In Buffy's world, language seems to play a rather important role. I'll have to read up on it. I haven't studied Latin in years.

I can only tell you about thaumaturgy, a force in my world which seems to resemble the forces called magic in other worlds. It comes from charged particles called thaumaturgons. Machines powered by elyctricity can manipulate or detect thaumaturgons. I once saw thaumaturgy used to draw fulmen, elyctric elementals, to power an engine.
