Cheap Technical Books

Mar 01, 2009 16:27

So, as part of getting ready to leave I'm getting rid of some technical books that I don't want to keep. Generally these have been useful in the past but I don't care enough about them to pay to store them.

Wow, i've wanted copies of several of these for a while, but haven't bothered buying them. Excellent!

The C++ Programming Language Special Edition by Stroustrup - hard cover, good condition - $15

Advanced Programming in the UNIX Environment by Stevens - hardcover, 1st ed, good condition - $5

Effective C++ by Scott Meyers - paperback, 2nd ed, great condition except for a half-removed sticker on the front - $5

Design Patterns - hard cover, like new - $10

Debugging with GDB by Stallman et al - paperback, great condition - $5

And, things that i probably ought to pass up, but am terribly intrigued by:

The Bison Manual by Stallman et al - paperback, great edition - $2

Berkeley DB by Sleepycat Software - paperback, good condition - $2

You can have all of those apart from Design Patterns. We're at home tonight if you want to come by.

Great, thanks! I'm down at noisebridge right now, but can swing by in an hour or two, if that's okay.

Sweet! All I have scheduled for this week is taking some guy out to lunch so I can get free books...

I work at Clay & Sansome, not far from you. How does Wednesday around 13h00 PDT at a location of your choosing sound?
