I hate work uncertaintys. In late 2010 my company decided to do away with the many part-time positions and make three full-time ones. We all had to interview for our own jobs. Fortunately, I was one of them and my boss kindly tried to signal to me that I did have one of them but she couldn't actually say anything about it until things were completely decided. It was horribly stressful and when I got the call I had been chosen to stay, I literally went to my knees in the living room in relief.
I hate running, and with my own Achilles tendon issues and bone spur, I really can't anyway. But I do like walking. I just checked off a bucket list item of participating in a particular half-marathon/10k where I walked the 10k and earned my medal. I do enjoy walking!
I hope things are resolved well for you very soon.
The utter idiocy of 'them' angers me! I can see the sense in rotating roles in terms of broadening skills and development opportunities, but you can't do it wholesale and just swap people cold. Structured shadowing and secondments and some bloody proper planning would need to go to it, otherwise you're just setting people up to fail.
I'm sorry things are so rough for you. Absolutely sucks about the seagull nest :( but well done re food and exercise, not because of the clothes but because it's nice to hear you're looking after yourself.
