of course holly wd pick the day of a car trip to wake at 445 :P. (nak) christine is here and she and i are driving the girls down to visit my parents in kansas city. i'm nervous, of course: the longest i've driven with both is 2.5 hrs and that was 3 months ago. this drive is 5 hrs :/. we are going to ignore naptime (at our own peril) and try to get ( Read more... )

I hope the trip goes really well - my kids usually nap fairly well in the car so leaving at naptime could be ideal. Hopefully the girls will be so happily tired from all the good times that they'll sleep like rocks! :)

I am interested in how this trip goes for you. We leave in less than two weeks and it's a 12 hour drive to Cheyenne where we'll stay the night and another 8 to Provo the next day. Three days in Provo and then an hour south to my sister's house, there for 2 days and then another 3 to my parents house. When we leave we'll probably go the Denver route which is two days in 9 and 12 hour stints.
