Ed stared at the missive in perplexity. Surely this was either a mistake or a monumental wind-up.

Dear Ed

You are invited to a small, informal gathering to celebrate Christmas Yule The Season.

This will take place on Christmas Eve December 24 from 16.00 in the Small Saloon at No.10.

We do hope you will feel able to accept, political differences notwithstanding. Please note the Dress Code (below), which is Not Negotiable.

Cordially
David W D Cameron
Prime Minister

I had to get up early and go into work today, and this fic has absolutely put a smile on my face. Thank you authoranon!

Love Ed's Socialist cardigan and David's politically correct invitation. But where is the Whisk?

Awww, poor George and his green jumper! I am very much looking forward to this party (and can just picture DCam being all enthusiastic about it and none of his colleagues sharing his love of kitsch! Lucky he has Andy on hand...)

By the time he made his way into Downing Street on the afternoon of his birthday, Ed was having serious second thoughts. Only that morning he’d discovered a new website about goose-grass, and his mind was fizzing with possibilities. He’d much sooner have stayed online to complete his research ( ... )
