Welcome to our eighth prompt post.

As ususal, here are a few things to keep in mind:

1) All fills for prompts of the earlier prompt posts go in the post the prompt was posted in. No re-posting or splitting up prompts and fills.
2) Self-prompt when you post unprompted fic. (This means posting what the fill is about in a first comment, like a real ( Read more... )

Quick un - DCam and EdMili commiserating each other about their respective unfriendly backbenchers. Moody slash occurs? Or gen, s'up to you.

Muahahahaha, I remember those! And you might be right, on both counts :)

And yeah, he's not /quite/ Bertie, If you see what I mean (more in control), but something of the Fry/Laurie, lighthearted universe is poking through...(Thought. If it were, it would make Thatcher Aunt Agatha? Alan would surely be Aunt Dahlia?)

BTW, did you also write the two Courtships fics? Because in that case, I'm 'guh' from the reviews, and I will now have to worship you.

'Fraid I'm also guilty of Courtship. And hello again Guh.

(Thinking I might create a new sekrit LJ persona ("Hemulin"?) for my lolitics fic. Here it gets done in the heat of the moment, which is fine, but I'd like to reset some of it, and correct the uncorrectable-on-lolitics typos and suchlike. If I do, I'll mention it here).

Oh authoranon! Would this be by any chance the Camerband promised at the end of this fic?

It is delightful and charming and I'm loving tipsy rebel DCam and uptight baffled Ed. And Stratford! What better setting for a romantic comedy? I'm sure Shakespeare is hovering around to sprinkle a little magic dust. :)

It might be.....

I'm glad you're enjoying it.

BTW, please say that wasn't a plotbunny just there playing hide-and-seek with Shakespeare and the magic dust ..... (Camerband in Shapespearean blank verse)

/remembers success of other plot bunnies involving DCam in white tie and declarations and so forth...

It might be... ;)

On a related topic .... I found a pic of EMil in a white tie too. (Sorry - I should have remembered where on the Internet it was and posted a link). Anyway - the effect on EMil wasn't half so impressive.

Where? The nearest I know of was the pride of britain awards, which I think had him in black bowtie (and wild eyes)?

(Yes, i'm a total EMiligeek, don't judge me! *hides)

Fill: Backbenchers; damn them. Part 4 anonymous January 6 2011, 17:47:44 UTC
David awoke, clear-eyed, to a bright spring sun mounting a sneaky invasion around the edges of the curtains. He should have been well away from the scene of the crime by now; but somehow couldn’t bring himself to care.

Besides; he thought, glancing sideways to where Ed still slept; the Panda had landed him with a bit of a problem.

He’d won the bet (and, George would have to admit if asked, won it handsomely). Putting aside ethical considerations for a moment, he basked in Success, whilst mentally ticking off all the conditions.

Given his chosen modus operandi (a rather hammed-up display of pseudo-inebriation based on memories of Boris at the Bullingdon), it had been easy to induce the Panda … Ed …. to undress him completely, thus fulfilling the first. However, he then discovered that he was severely curtailed in his choice of approaches to the other two conditions ( ... )

Oh authornon you are delightful. I'm not quite sure where you get your writing style from but you write these characters in a complete world of their own, rather removed from "traditional" fanon characterizations they occupy but still believable in a really strange and wonderful way. This was just amusing and light-hearted and delightful.

And mmmm Camerband. Why do I ship it? No idea. I've stopped caring.

Thank you. I've been writing for a longish time; and always do rare pairings. Maybe that's why it comes out the way it does!

(Or - I may just be several baguettes short of a late-night sandwich-session. I dunno).

It was all a wager? Cammie! Noooo! :D I love Ed's effiency so much here, it's awesome. I'm assuming the towel is to prevent the hotel staff knowing?
his ample middle Hee! I love that photo...

Ed had been so … Ooooh. I really really want to see where this goes, the 'it was only a bet but now it's something more' is one of my fave tropes evar.
F5's repeatedly XD

I'm afraid I rather lost sight of the back benchers whilst all this was going on (they'd have been distinctly de trop IN sight anyway).

One more part, I think (unless David and Ed suddenly decide to career off in a totally new direction).

Well, de trop, unless that's your kind of thing...;) But seriously, this fic is perfection as it is, I'm trying to decide whether I love your Camerham, Miliborne or Camerband the best :)
