I actually got the "good to go" from my surgeon last night but I didn't want to try getting out and then find my meds somewhere and be exhausted and hurty when I finally got home. So I elected to stay one more night and head out this morning. Of course my temp spiked a wee bit last night but I did some coughing and deep-breathing. (Sumbitch that

Ah, the sore throat from intubation. I remember that from my perc.

One of my friends, non-medical and very intelligent, likes to describe how one's throat feels after surgery or more correctly the why as: First, they stick a Coke Bottle down your throat. Then, there's this small door in the wall, and they pass the tow-chain through that door to the 4x4 jeep in the parking lot, attach it to the Coke Bottle, and have the jeep drive away...

Oooh never let anyone tell you laparoscopic surgery is minor...I'm heading towards #5 in the spring and I'm not looking forward to it one bit. Awful stuff. You take care of yourself. *hug*
