I love that Draco's slowly chipping away at the surface of the problem. ♥ His drive to catch Harry in the middle of some heinous plot is so ironic, haha. Is it evil that I don't want Draco to succeed any time soon? >D I really want to see Harry put his escape plan in action. Wonderful work with this chapter. I'm looking forward to the next update!

It's kind of the HBP plot in reverse! Not that I realized that when I was making it up.

Don't worry; while I'm trying not to draw the portion of the story with Harry under the curse out drastically, he won't suddenly get cured in the next chapter or two. There is some action on Harry's part before the story ends.

Aaaah, how you described seeing the souls is amazing! XD I love: If Harry’s soul was so perfect on the surface, what lay beneath? Draco expects some hidden twisted-ness, huh?

I'm definitely hooked to both stories now. One updates and then the other...and I'm never sure exactly which one I wish was updated more (the cliffhanger in "I Give You a Wondrous Mirror" killed me).

You're amazing.

Thank you!

Draco thinks everybody has some hidden twistedness. That's just Draco's way. But he particularly thinks it with Harry because why the hell else would he have started lying and trying to kill himself?

Well, the fourth chapter of 'I Give You a Wondrous Mirror' is up now. :)

I actually cried while reading this chapter. To be trapped in an mental instution (sp sucks I know) and having your friends not believe you, is very very lonely. I hope Draco can dig inside and find and break the curse. I was reading the last couple of paragraphs and it sounded like Harry cursed himself. I'm probably way off course but it sounded like that to me. I can't wait to read more!

Harry's life majorly sucks right now. Even if/when he comes out of it, he'll need a lot of support to completely recover.

Harry definitely didn't curse himself. He hadn't studied the books before and didn't know enough Dark magic.

Fascinating. I loved your description of Harry's soul--the geometric/stained-glass idea appeals to me very strongly. Dare we hope the curse works less well within a soul than it does in the "real world"?

Thanks!

The stained-glass idea is one I've played with for a long time, but not actually used in a story. I chose to use it here because I want a vivid image.

Well, Chapter 5 should give you the answer to that question. :)

I just want to put a little shrine up to you in my journal. Because wow. I know I say you're amazing every time, but. God. You have a way with words that. Just. Stunning, okay?
