Oh dear! That evil, evil woman!

Draco has to ask for Harry's help! He really fears his judgement and losing his respect, does he?

The discussion between both men, before, was captivating, as always. I also loved Harry's tender concern for Draco. He needs it!

"Draco turned his head and looked in another direction, as if (she) couldn’t be bothered with Harry’s plebeian friendliness."

Should it be he instead of she?

Hee, I wondered how many people would react like that!

Draco fears that, and he's also afraid of what would happen after Harry got rid of Daphne. Maybe he would help, but then be too disgusted to pursue a relationship with Draco.

And thank you!

Thanks for the notation on the typo; that indeed should be "he." *corrects*

Well. Daphne is just a tad bit psycho. Obviously she gets off on his pain. But this was more than pain. This was nearly murder.

He really needs to tell Harry. About Daphne, about him wanting Harry off the potion. Harry might not react well at first, but it's clear that Harry is falling for Draco, so he'll want to do whatever he can to help.

This last scene was rather too realistic. Having just dealt with my fiance's heart attack, I felt that fear again for Draco when I read this. I know it's fiction, but you write it so well, so realistically, that I was momentarily back in that emotional space of sheer terror. I'm so glad Patty was able to help him.

As always, I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

She gets off on watching the effects of uncertainty on her lovers, more than anything else. Draco can't remember what he was done to him, and now he can't be sure when he might die, either.

Harry would help Draco without a word of reproach, but he might very well walk away afterwards, or decide they should just be friends. That's what Draco is really afraid of. And since Harry has resisted Hermione's pushing on the potion, Draco doesn't really believe he'd listen to Draco, either.

Ouch. I'm sorry for reminding you of that.

And thank you!

Oh, no worries. I'm reminded of it every day in one way or another, and it's something I don't want to forget, because I need to remember to stick to the changes we've made to prevent it happening again, to either of us. I was mostly just commenting on the visceral reality of your writing, and how impressed I am with how you can transport me there, emotionally. Not all writers can do that. It's one of the reasons I enjoy your stories so much, even when they involve difficult content or emotions.

Okay. Thanks. That makes me feel considerably better. :)

Good for you for keeping up with the changes!

Urgh, I wish Draco could just steal all of Harry's potion and give him placebos or something. This polite Harry is really starting to rankle me, haha.

Haha, I wonder what else is on that list of 20 suggestions Draco wrote up. This is a productive chapter. I'm looking forward to the committee meeting and seeing who's on it.

That might work for a while, but since Harry brews his own, not forever.

It's interesting how Harry is starting to get on everyone's nerves! (I've had several comments about this). I think he was more tolerable in the first story for most people. I wonder if it's because his and Draco's relationship is developing faster now?

And thank you!

I really, really, really hate Daphne. It's a level of hate I normally reserve for Ginny, so that should tell you something!

“I do not ‘mess up,’” Draco said. “My plans fail with a kind of spectacular brilliance, like a star going nova, or they come off perfectly.”

Hilarious! I love Draco. *pets him* *kicks Daphne* And Harry...we need him off the potion. And then he needs to lash out and Daphne. And I'm thoroughly aware that I'll probably not get what I want, but it doesn't stop me from wanting it, damn it! *stomps foot*

Heh. But Daphne would say that she just likes a bit of pain with his pleasure, and anyway, Draco chose this.

As long as Harry's on the potion, it might very well be impossible for him to lash out at Daphne.

As for what you want...well, remember, there is one more story in this series.

And thank you!
