Just tell her no. There is only a week left to the month so if anything, she's entitled to oh - 50 bucks?! Not half, especially since she owes you for March bills anyway. I would just tell her that the money she's recently given has covered Aprils rent and bills only, and she still owes you for bills in March, so she's only actually entitled to $45 bucks - if that.

Since there was no lease, I doubt you'll be able to go to court.

In my hours of watching judge judy, if you have the old stubs or records/photocopies of her checks she gave you every month, thats a kind of "proof" that, ok, this girl was paying 600+ a month to you for SOMETHING.

Does she have any of her stuff still there? Keep it until she pays you. Seriously.

I doubt keeping her stuff there will make this transition easier, actually it will only burn crosses. trust me this is a bad idea.

NEVER rent to friends... I guarantee you will be friends no longer... my suggestion is you tell her to forget the March bills and sever all ties... clean and simple...

That's the reason why I chose not to rent from Rach, cus we're friends and I'd like it to be that way.
I've seen this type of thing happen before when my dad rent to family, we dont talk to them anymore.

You have nothing in writing with a signature from her, so there's no point in taking this to court.

By the way, when I left Caroline's apt. I left Nov. 22nd, and I received no extra money, nor did I make an issue. You are assumed to leave before the end of the month.
