I think I coming to seriously resent and dislike The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Not so much for itself, although it is pretty dumb, as for the damage it has left in it's wake

I wonder how much Rocky is the cause of the drama and how much it's just a venue.
It could be a cause in that the cast has a bunch of nebulous, ill-defined goals on which there is little agreement, and there are many possible routes to those goals. This means that people have vested interests in the actions of others in the cast, and are thus more likely to be upset about their actions.
I think that the primary reason why it has damaged the Phoenix community, though, is because Michael has been involved in some of the drama, and people think "Phoenix = Michael" - and not unjustifiably. Thus, when they become upset with him, they avoid Phoenix. That he is not currently in power in CAP may help the Phoenix community, not by any fault of his, but simply because of the way people think about such things.
I'm curious: which former pillars of the community actively shun the store?
You have some very good points here, although I do not think that Rocky is as much of a detriment as you think. Rocky certainly gains more from the store than it gives, having recruited many members from the store community. However, it has also been a venue for recruitment to the store as well in some capacity

The personal issues with you that cause people to avoid the Store largely, in my perception, stem from Rocky. Issues with your management and behavior there lead to a desire to avoid you, which leads to people avoiding Phoenix because they associate the store with you.
You know, now that I think of it maybe it was rocky, but not because it of the stuff that happened there, or that it's a bad movie, or anything like that. It's that it was something else that EVERYONE was doing. If you weren't going to rocky you were left out of half the good conversations your friends were having at Phoenix, and that put you outside the community. People need a break, and people need their own lives outside. Phoenix just kept growing with the same people and that stretches a lot of people too thin.
You may very well be right about this part, I know I started to feel a little left out of the Rocky-centric aspects of the community.
In my defense, I just don't like a lot of the people that show up at the store. And I'm not really good friends with anyone there anymore, so I just don't go. It didn't have anything to do with Rocky.
