Walter Chesnut
Last week, Walter Chesnut passed away. This was a huge blow to UMass, and to the larger musical community. He was a wonderful man, an asset to all music, and an inspiration to all who knew him. I've started planning for my annual Summer Solstice BBQ already, and I want to get a date set. The Solstice itself is on a Thursday (June 21). If anyone has a problem with that date, please let me know, and I will consider moving it to Friday or Saturday.
