LIBERATED? Iraq has become a breeding ground for terrorists. Just because Saddam's regime is over doesn't by any means make Iraq a free and safe place to live. Look, we're not saying Saddam Hussien wan't a bad guy, we're saying that there are still terrorists over there, in case you haven't been paying attention to the news, there are bombings and shootings and death and destruction in Iraq every day. Our people are dying, Iraq's people are dying. You call living in fear of suicide bombers and other terrorists being liberated? I don't. And in case you haven't noticed....THERE ARE NO WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION.

So you're saying we should pull out?
None that we've found at any rate...

Well we can't pull out now. We should pull out as soon as it's stable over there for sure. Obviously that could take quite a long time, considering how things look now. Actually I think we should never have gone there.

wow... you put way too much time and effort into that.

BTW: This war is getting more retarded by the day. We are supposedly fighting for a totally nonexistent cause. I can't help feeling that Bush is just trying to do what his daddy didn't.

Another BTW: North Vietnam did NOT have a standing army. We were fighting the Vietcong, a guerrilla group of communist, anti-US terrorists. As far as 95% goes, that depends on what you call "liberated." If you mean freed from Hussein's influence, yes. If you mean not living under an oppressive puppet government, no. Also, the vietnam war was begun on another faulty cause: the so-called "domino effect." The fact of the matter is, despite Vietam's succumbing to communism, only 4 communist governments exist in the world today.

Gotta give this one to the liberals, Nate.

Agreed with all Eric said...especially about the part about putting WAY TOO MUCH EFFORT into this...it was a joke, and I'm sure the facts weren't particurally well-researched...it made some good points though.

Ooo look at what i found in TIME! 42% of the oil that America uses comes from America. 4% comes from Iraq. 9% comes from Saudi Arabia. Meaning that we "DID NOT" go to Iraq for the Oil. Thank you and good night.

Yeah, I'm not even bothering to read through all of these comments unless I have a katana ready. Put I do agreed with joe's thing. And the second largest oil contributer is Canada and if we looked at them funny they'd surrender, but have we taken over them, the only country in the world whose amy still employs a cannon?
