My Thanksgiving was completely insane. I had Thanksgiving in the US for the first time in 3 years. My mom's family went on the entertain mission trip again this year, but I had classes until Wednesday so I didn't go. IT SNOWED TODAY!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Ok...so it wasn't for that long, you could barely see it, and it didn't stick, but of course I had to run around outside like a fool. It was fantastic.

So I am in K Democrats, and my roommate Maggie is running for ombudsperson (I don't think I spelled that right), which is the leison between the freshmen and the upper classmen. So I am finally at college. Yeah, it's pretty cool. This week-long orientation week needs to be done though. I want my classes to start. I'm taking Latin, which I'm pretty excited about. I'm also in this polisci course about the Arab-Israeli conflict, which sounds like it's going to be fantastic. And I'm taking choir and my freshman writing seminar ( Read more... )

I went to the Detroit jazz fest yesterday. I saw DAVE BRUBECK (and the rest of his quartet) play. It was incredible. The man is 87 years old and he is still fantastic, and funny, and cool. These guys were having so much fun playing together. If I'm able to be doing something that I'm that passionate about at 87, then I will be a very happy woman. ( Read more... )
