New toy
I rewarded myself for cutting my credit card debt by more than 50% and refinancing the mortgage to remove any liability on my ex's part, which nicely happened to reduce my payments by 45% AND the next payment isn't due until January... Brother picked up his second "I forgot to duck" award
Got called at 5am, brother was wounded in a suicide bomber attack, he's expected to recover fully but is being sent home to recover. He has had or will have surgery in Kandahar to remove shrapnel from his shoulder, then get flown to Landstuhl and then back stateside, probably to Walther Reed. Belt testing on November 6th
I tested for my second Dan in Tae Kwon Do on Saturday, I got the grading sheets from the two Masters who graded me. One gave me a perfect score but noted that I should concentrate on my stances some more, the other took a few points off here and there and commented that I should concentrate on techniques other than take-downs in my self-defense ( Read more... ) -

This is why our client hired us...
There was a network blip or something that caused ntp to go haywire, as a result, one of our RAC database nodes rebooted repeatedly. When we shut down the RAC cluster services on that node, we saw the other node reboot. Parents who need to let go
I can understand parents wanting to control what their minor children see (although I think it's futile - my mother didn't want me to see _Taps_, but I saw it at a friend's house). But objecting to something their SENIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL SEES? Sorry, a senior is typically 17 or 18 years old, not exactly a minor in most cases.
