Paul lost his first tooth today - officially 7 years, 2 months and 9 days. He said it didn't hurt at all (it really shouldn't since the other tooth is already in behind it) and he thought the tooth fairy should bring him a toy and $100. So, Paul is finally growing up. He has his first adult tooth coming in. Now, this news isn't unusual since many of us have gone through this multiple times. The interesting thing is that he is 7 and hasn't lost any of his baby teeth yet. Since it is red-ribbon week, the kids' elementary has planned things this week to celebrate. Yesterday was "wear as many colors" and today was "inside out" day. Yesterday Paul had a bit of problems deciding what to wear that had so many different colors so he decided on a long sleeve shirt with his short-sleeve tie dye shirt over it. Paul is talking to dad and me this morning. He said that he was sitting in Grandpa's good luck chair. Dad said, "why is it a good luck chair. I fell out of it yesterday." Paul said, "because you didn't break anything."

It truly is a great weekend. My parents are gone until tuesday visiting relatives in Oklahoma and Kansas. It seems that they really leave when I have craploads of stuff to do and need their help, but it is worth it to not have them here bugging us to clean up, eat better, or not watch tv.
