Well,　ｐhase one was completed yesterday afternoon at 3.20pm when I flew out from Beijing international airport. China was awesome, I wish I could have seen more of it and been there longer, I barely scratched the surface.
( So, things I can tick off my list )

First off, you are looking really great in those pictures! (It's finally great to actually "see" you again!)

Second off, wow, all the places you're going are really amazing. Kinda makes me wish that I had taken a big trip around the world. ;)

Third off, CONGRATULATIONS! :D That's so cool that you're going to be doing JET stuff. I'd always wanted to, but... already having a job in the States during the summer, well... that kept me from going. =)

What are you talking about, I look horrendous in that first one, my hair's got a life of it's own!

They are so awesome, I keep having to pinch myself. I'm going to the deer park this afternoon in Nara, and last night I went for takoyaki with a guy from Toronto I met, and ended up chatting with the locals (sort of) and drinking sake until the bar shut and then ended up following them onto a karaoke bar. And getting loads of drinks bought. My head feels horrible this morning.

Thanks! You should definitely come out and stay with me, wherever I end up going. I still can't quite believe that I actually got it!

Oh man, that looks like it's completely awesome- and what a great time of year to be visiting Japan! :o Sakura's are so pretty!~

They really, really are. Tokyo's in fullbloom at the moment, and on the Shinkansen yesterday I kept seeing masses and masses of puffy trees along the tracks. It's gorgeous. Apparently the park in Nara is just as pretty, I'm off there in a little while.

Mochi bacon is AMAZING. It's bacon wrapped around mochi with something else in it, though I'm not actually sure what it is, but it is delicious.

It was! It was was so cold though, there was still snow on the ground on some of the mountains. But then when you got to the top, it was really warm with the sun out. And windy. My god, I'd hate to have been the poor bastard stuck on point duty up there.
