My ideal guy is incredibly intelligent. And he knows it. He may come off as pretentious, but that's just because he knows no other way to behave. He seems socially awkward, and he is, for the most part, but he's very direct and confident, which some people mistake for him being cocky. My new layout is sickeningly girlie. It reminds me of a handmade Valentine that sitcom kids make their little girlfriends because they forgot it was Valentine's Day until last minute. I like it, it's gross and pink and girlie. Makes me feel like somebody loved me and gave me a Valentine.

We got our kittens today. We weren't supposed to get them until Friday, but they've developed more quickly than the vet originally thought, so Becca called me this morning telling me to go buy cat supplies, because she was bringing them home tonight. My mom has to give a speech on foal nutrition at a big veternary conference in Colorado later this summer. Her speech is also going to be published in a veternary magazine-type thing. She has her manuscript all typed up, and it's not due until June 15th, so she gave me a copy of it to edit. I started reading it today, with my red pen all handy ( Read more... )

I really need to get my GPA up. After slacking off last semester, it's only a 3.5 something. That's not low, I know, but I need to get it higher if I expect to get into a decent grad school. There's something about the temperature in my room tonight that is just absolutely perfect. It's pretty cool outside, so I don't have the air on, but I do have the ceiling fan on, which is creating a nice little breeze.
