Regarding the place of impetuity in art, specifcally written word

Art is personal expression. The end. No more than that. In fact, I think the very idea of working at it (generally) deteriorates its "artisticness." However, you could work on how to improve your ability to express yourself better--like working on being able to paint exactly what you see, or play the music exactly the way you feel it. I know with both of these, my skills are fairly low, and its frustrating to want to express so much, but to be hindered by flaws. That's where the work comes in--to remove those flaws and allow creativity to flow without obstacles.

Lol, and then I read the rest of your entry, under "inspiration" and you basically already knew all of this...oh well ;)

Gah, it IS frustrating not to have the physical ability to express what you want to. Like I said, maybe if we had the time and freedom to work on that kind of thing, it could be nice, but as our lives go...
