so a customer was buying a bunch of gift sets the other day, and I commented on how much he was spending on gifts. he said something along the lines of "yeah, its just money. I'll earn more if I need it." I've never heard such a selfless approach to money before. who ever knew that I could actually learn something from a customer? seriously, it's ( Read more... )

that's my general approach to spending money on friends. i prefer to spend more money on their birthdays because i figure everyone gets gifts on christmas, but not everyone gets much on their birthday, you know?

my uncle has the same type of attitude towards money. He'll say, "it's just paper.."
He was a hardcore gambler, so that may be were he thinks that way.
