I've been living in Holland for almost two weeks now. What a change of life for me. It's been a difficult transition but I think once the first month passes I will be okay.

I bought my plane ticket so I leave on August 22. I start Dutch classes in September. I'll be caring for an 8 year old little boy, Raymond and a 3 year old little girl, Angela. I got placed with a family...

...here comes the next part of my life!

Today I got a phone call from the Au Pair in Amsterdam program telling me they received the final part of my application. She asked me some questions about myself and my background. The next part in the process is my application being sent over to potential families in the Netherlands...and then...getting placed with a family ( Read more... )

For the moment I feel okay about letting go of everything. I've really hated writing lately because I feel like one sentence can sum up a lot. The first sentence pretty much sums up my existence at the moment. And everything I come up with to follow it just conflicts. This week is my last official week of babysitting (aside from a few night gigs and whatnot). I am going to miss watching my nephew. How could you not miss spending every day with this kid?
