OOC: Ahahahaha. Look who's turning into a stalker. ♥
Normal night. Well, almost night. The sun was still blazing slightly, but Magnus was old. It was a bit easier for him to handle, though he stuck close to the shade in the tree he had decided to occupy.
Maybe she will know I'm here when I get jealous,He smirked at this thought crossed his mind, Because I don't like the look of that other detective. In reality, his jealousy was under control more or less, but that didn't mean much- this time, it meant that he was about to kill Dave, r but he wasn't that stupid.
He would make himself into another suspect for what just happened if he did that, and he sucked on one of his fangs absent-mindedly.
He was a step ahead of them, of course. His occupied space happened to be one in Central park, and he had caught the tail end of what had happened.
And the only reason he was still there was her. You're acting like you're a new vampire to the world. You've been around long enough to know better...But that was it, of course. Magnus...didn't
( ... )
Lor and Dave walked towards the scene. There wasn't much left to do. The body was being tagged and pictures were being taken. Simple enough.
"What is it this time?"Loraine looked around and let Dave do the talking for once. For a moment her eyes glazed over an area and she could have sworn she saw something, but looking again it was gone.
I'd like to see Ma-
"Same as before Coyle. Like the alley." Cutt from mid-thought Loraine spun around and looked at the body.
"God Dammit!" For the first time, in a long time she showed emotion. Dave looked at her strangely as she turned away frustrated and fuming.
Vampires... but it wasn't him. He wouldn't. Magnus said he hadn't... bitten anyone. That body in the alley wasn't his doing, so maybe this has nothing to do with him! Lor tried to rationalize what she was seeing but she couldn't
( ... )
Magnus grumbled as he watched the spat. The vampire was much too busy being angry to get jealous. He hung onto the treebranch he was sitting on tightly, resisting the urge to dash down there and intimidate Dave. But no, that would be sort of strange. A man with spikey teeth popping out of nowhere to defend a girl who's attitude had changed over the last few days. Plus, she would have probably bitten his head off for it later
( ... )
Loraine swore as something fell from the tree right in front of her, dropping the cigarette onto the ground. Stepping and twisting the smoke lighting from the grass she knelt down to the flowers
( ... )
Coughing occaisionally while Magnus carried her away Loraine hid her eyes from the blurr around her. Even when he began to run she still hid her eyes.
So much didn't make sense to her. Why she was really brought there instead of just killed. The anger and rage in Magnus' eyes and the way he looked on Lor with such... care and worry, it only worried her, comforting but it worried her all the same.
Her arms stayed wrapped around Magnus, her head burried against his shoulder and neck. It wasn't until he sat down, the sigh escaping him did Lor look up.
"Are..." Coughing off to the side she tried to speak again. "...are you alright?" Lor could smell the blood on him, the coppery scent all too familiar but the feeling of warm blood trickling from the back of her head onto her neck was strange. She felt a bit dizzy, disoriented still from the multiple blows.
He shivered. "Ugh. If I could die, I'd be dead by now. Stupid Lycan blood. I might be freaking out a bit for the next couple of hours, so bare with me." Indeed, his skin had gotten much paler, and he looked as if he was cold, huddled up with her, shaking like he was. But even so, he managed to kiss her forehead and smirk a bit. "Nevermind about me. Don't worry. I'll be okay. It's just going to take a bit of time to get this blood out of my system. How about you?"
He looked at her, up and down, checking out her over all condition with care. He was too dazed, too out of it to care if he was being nice, or sweet, or sensitive. He was content with the fact that he could still see, hear, and sigh.
"Looks like the Lycans want you for a reason. Maybe you know too much. Maybe it's because you smelled like me this morning. I should have warned you about that...and I damn well hope you're glad I was around tonight."
Loraine smiled and nodded. Moving off of Magnus she pulled her coat off and used it as a slight blanket over him.
"Don't complain. Just take it. I'm not cold." Loraine wasn't lying until a cool enough breeze blew by and she surpessed a shiver. With a gentle, no longer shaking hand, Lor began to wipe some of the blood from his face as kind eyes looked on him.
"Is there anything I can do? Anything at all... I mean I'd probably be dead or turned into... a lycan by now if it weren't for your jealous heroics." Smiling she coughed lightly.
Magnus was different now, at least in Loraine's eyes. He'd risked his life, pain and whatnot to help her. Even when he said he didn't care in the slightest what happened to her, that he cared only for his work and himself Magnus still put himself in harms way.
"You stupid, jealous, careless and rediculously poorly timed heroics." By now she'd wiped away the tears though she sniffled softly, covering it with a quick cough.
