Hey, call Shane and bug him into coming tonight so we can take care of that last one. He was talking about not coming due to injury. I reminded him he didn't have to participate. But yeah, bug him.
I talked to Shane yesterday evening to remind him of wearing the gi, and he didn't metnion anything to me about possibly missing. I'll call him, but since I don't know his work schedule does anyone know when would be a good time?
I talked to Shane last night, and he mentioned that he'd definitely be coming, as well as the fact that both of you had reminded him. Just make sure everyone else is accounted for, and y'all oughta be copacetic.
Thank you for the reply, sir. It was a legit question, and you deftly predicted 2 of the next ones I would probably have had.
Feigning ignorance to be silly is, thankfully, not part of my overall ignorance problem. My ignorance has a tendency to gravitate towards snap judgements and leaping to conclusion.

I've heard similar complaints about the pacing in CotP2.
The only thing I can think of at this point is to remember that 2 and 3 are essentially one big movie. Movies are expensive. Things only stay in movies if they are really relevant. If it can be deleted from the story, it is.
I haven't seen it yet, but Brenda and I are stoked to go -- and I am willing to bet that the stuff that you think is slowing down the movie now will have some type of payoff next summer.
It's not neccessarily the content of the movie that is slowing at down, but the pace that it happens at. I'm sure 95% of everything in the movie is going to have some type of relevence in some way, but some of it was a little much. Not to the point that it really detracted from the movie in a significant way, it just made a little restless in my seat a few times wanting them to get on with it. They could've shaved 15 minutes off that movie easily... EASILY!
Other than that, it was fantastic. I'm a big fan of the original and this one was, by far, better. Don't let my complaints detract from anyone's desire to see the movie, I just happen to be a little picky about a few things media-wise. I don't really want to go in to too much detail because I don't want to ruin any reveals for anybody.

I absolutely loved that movie. A great sequel, it pretty much picked up where the first left off and kept going.
Mrs. Lee brought up a valid point/comparison:
Star Wars = not sure if there could/would be a sequel, so it is self contained. Not so with the sequels. They flow together and make ANH become he Introductory first act.
PotC = ditto, and I hope the sequels do the same.
Oh yes. Shane will be there. HE MUST!!!! I have an unbreakable appointment at 5pm in B'Ham, but I do NOT forsee it going past 6pm.

Oh, it was definitely good. I love the first movie, and I think Dead Man's Chest is definitely a superior film. I just think it could have been about 15-20 minutes shorter.

I assume you're not feigning ignorance to be silly. I frequently mistake such for actual ignorance.

Under ordinary circumstances, this would appear bold.
