It's really sad but here in America we are so busy all the time. The number one response to How are you is...I'm tired. A sermon I heard last night, she said that people have an ego boost because they are so busy; it makes them look like an important person. How often do we drive to work and look around us at the beauty of God's creation? How often do we notice what is going on around us? Instead it seems our minds are on getting to work on time. The more stuff we have, the more we are preoccupied to take care of that stuff, which means we have less time for God. And in American, we are a society that is all about buying goods and making a profit...a profit to buy more goods. God seems to be less and less of a priority in the lives of Americans.
